Windows Live Family Safety is blocking a website, but it says that it is not my provider for family safety. In addition, I have an administrator account, so I’m not supposed to be blocked by anything at all. I use a Windows 7 operating system. I tried to uninstall it, but I can’t find it in the list in the "Uninstall a program" window. How do I unblock the website or get rid of Windows Live Family Safety altogether?

best suggestion i could find was actually here on yahoo answers
download revo uninstaller
if you did not install it, you may not be able to uninstall it

hope this helps

Did you also flush the DNS cache by running ipconfig /flushdns from an Elevated Command Prompt ?

When you format the HD and do a clean installation of XP again, if it still is then it’s definitely not occurring from the computer.
The only other places that can block web sites is the Family Safety server, your ISP, or your network router.

Did you follow all of the instructions for Uninstalling Family Safety, including steps 2 through 5 ?

If the answer is yes, then suggest you post this issue to the family safety Forum

My parents put it on my computer and now I can’t even do some Google searches.

try a proxy like atunnel.com. i dont remember any other than that one because i havent used them in forever but thats what we used to do to get around school blocks. if it blocks the proxy, there are a bajillion more but if you still cant get to one, you could learn to make your own using java (doesnt take too too long). sometimes typing an ’s’ after the http in your address bar lets you get to things too

Is it possible, if someone has locked it, but you want it turned off yourself?

Thanks for any feedback. :)

I think you need either password or admin rights to uninstall :-)

….non cash safety net assistance. Plus provide the time limits of each. Is there a five year limit on all of them?

Independent.

When you work full time and support your own family and you become unemployed due to Government interference in the economy, you should receive at least 6 months help while you find a job. No more than a year unless you are severely injured or incapacitated medically. (like cancer)

When you barely hold down any job, haven’t worked more than 6 months out of any given year. You find your own way. You are not putting out effort. You need to learn the hard way to stand alone.
