They provide professional counseling, consumer credit counseling services, and 1-to-1 mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Kane & Kendall Counties.

We did a project for our graduate class Family Therapy. We used puppets to show an example of a Experiencial therapy counseling session. This session was an example that was used in our text book and shows an example of Gestalt Family Therapy. In one sense this is a little extreme but we used the exact wording from the example. I would find this type of counseling difficult.

The recurrent pattern of negativity, denial, and placing blame is referred to as oppositional defiant disorder. This disorder also features a childs decision to test limits, violate social/family norms, invade the personal space/basic rights of others, defy rules, argue, annoy and resort to hostility and manipulation as a means of functioning. By far, the defiant child is one of the most difficult children to parent.
