Disney World Vacation – Epcot and Hollywood Studios (Day7)

This was our first Disney World Thanksgiving Holiday Vacation we have done. Our kids had a blast! On our last day of the full on Disney Vacation we met up with a friend from YouTube and checked out Epcot for half a day. After that, we transferred over to Hollywood Studios one more time so J-Zilla and Little-Zilla could ride the Toy Story Mania ride and J could do the Tower of Terror! He enjoyed it after being scared a little bit LOL

Disney World Vacation – Animal Kingdom (Day 3)

This was our first Disney World Thanksgiving Holiday Vacation we have done. Our kids had a blast! We went to Animal Kingdom for the third day of our trip. Animal Kingdom had a few rides that made J-Zilla excited, such a fun park for the family.

Disney World Vacation – Magic Kingdom (Day 1)

This was our first Disney World Thanksgiving Holiday Vacation we have done. Our kids had a blast! We decided on doing Magic Kingdom for the first two days of our trip. Magic Kingdom is way too big to do in one day so we split the park in half for day 1.

Mark your calendars for Pit Bull Awareness Day 2011 – a new record for the world’s largest gathering of pit bull type dogs!

Date: Sunday, November 6, 2011
PARADE: 11:30 am @ the Statesman (Barton Springs & Congress)
FESTIVAL: 1 pm — 5 pm @ Republic Square Park (422 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78701)
Cost: Both events are FREE and open to the public.
Parking: Available at City Hall (301 W. 2nd Street, entrance on Lavaca) free until 5 pm.
Special Guests:

Holly Marie Combs
Actress, producer, writer, and animal welfare advocate. She has starred in the popular TV series “Charmed” and on ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars.” Holly and her family have acquired and adopted several animals including dogs, rabbits, horses, cats, birds and other animals who find their way into their home. She strongly believes in the need for pit bull advocacy and education.

John Shipe
Singer, songwriter, teacher, and traveler. He is most well-known for his song Pit Bull Blues, and in case you couldn’t tell — he’s a pit bull advocate too. See his newly released video for Pit Bull Rescue Woman and read the comment notes from John Shipe himself.

Tim Racer & Donna Reynolds of BAD RAP
BAD RAP (Bay Area Doglovers Responsible about Pit Bulls) is a non-profit organization of pit bull owners, trainers, educators, rescuers, and supporters. This group played a significant part taking in and rehabilitating many of the ‘Vick dogs.’ They were interviewed by PBS’ Need to Know for a follow-up story this July The Dogs are (Still) Alright.

Deb O’Keefe
Our MC for this year’s event, she’s the English-accented radio DJ on Austin’s the “Morning X” and a big fan of men with moustaches. Deb is also the owner of a pit bull named Blue, but if you ask her it’s the other way around.
